Plant for the production of reinforced concrete elements

Project details

Contractor: ZSK STOMANOBETON JSC
Location: Industrial zone Kremikovtzi, Sofia
Period:
Stage 1: 2008 - 2009
Stage 2: 2020 - 2021
Contract type: General Contractor

Technical indicators:

  • Plot area: 53 013 sq.m.
  • Total Build-up area: 27 100 sq.m.
  • Build-up area: 25 177 sq.m.
  • Vertical planning: 3400 sq.m.
  • Landscaping: 4472 sq.m.

Stage 1 covers of the construction of an administration building and a plant for the production of reinforced concrete elements. The site is of the third category according to the nomenclature of types of construction. The site is designed and constructed as a single-storey volume with a form subordinate to the technological line and partially built into the volume of the second and third levels, intended for the production managers and the sanitary facilities. On the elevation +0,00 are located the premises according to the production process, namely:
- concrete unit with control system
- silo area for cement
- silos for inert meterial with ramp
- hall for production of spirols
- hall for the production of beams and panels
- reinforcement yard
- anchoring parts
- carpentry workshop
- laboratories
- warehouses
At elevation +0,00 are also located the technical premises: steam boiler, main electrical panel, transformer station.
At elevation + 3,65 m are located:
- changing rooms and sanitary facilities
- a canteen and accompanying premises
On the elevation + 7,30 m are located:
- changing rooms and sanitary facilities
- offices for production managers
- warehouses
- archive
The building is constructed with a steel supporting structure (columns, beams and capitals), and the intermediate levels are partly solved with a monolithic reinforced concrete structure and partly with prefabricated elements type "spirol". The façade is finished with reinforced concrete plinth panels up to an elevation of +0.30 m and with 60 mm thick polyurethane panels up to a cornice elevation of +13.30 m. The roof covering is with LT sheeting with a height of 15 cm, hard mineral wool 12 cm, waterproofing PVC membrane 1.5 mm. Partially openable roof light strips provide natural lighting, natural ventilation and emergency smoke extraction. Drainage of the building is internal, gravity drainage. There are emergency barbacans near the funnels.
Stage 1 was commissioned in 2009.
Due to an increase in the volume of work and the production-technological needs of the facility, an expansion of the Precast Concrete Shop was launched in 2020. The extension of the existing hall is on one level. It provides for a pre-stressed element production stand and a formwork storage area. The existing social and engineering infrastructure have the necessary capacity, retain their location and will cover the needs of the expanded production area. The construction of the extension repeats the construction of the existing hall - precast concrete elements - columns, beams and capitals.
The existing reinforced concrete columns and crane road in the area of the completed open storage area have been replaced with new columns to match the height of the extension of the production and storage hall. The façade is designed with reinforced concrete plinth panels up to an elevation of +0.30 m and with 60 mm thick polyurethane panels up to a cornice elevation of +13.30 m.
The roof covering is foreseen with LT sheet 15 cm high, hard mineral wool 12 cm, waterproofing PVC membrane 1,5 mm. The roof of the extension is independent and separated by a roof overhang from the roof of the existing hall. Lighting strips on the roof provide natural lighting. Drainage of the building is internal, gravity drainage.
With the proposed new development, the urban design indicators of the complex do not exceed the regulatory requirements.
Stage 2 is commissioned in 2021.
